Infusion progression — Level 1–15
Abilities are cumulative. Stabilization is required at Levels 5, 10 and 15 as described on the Infusion System page.
| Level | Ability | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Deep Guard | Passive | The chestplate reacts to incoming damage with a basic harmonic counterforce, reducing a small portion of non-sonic damage. Synergy: Later defensive abilities stack conditionally rather than granting flat invulnerability. Controls: Passive — functions while the chestplate is worn. |
| 2 | Impact Reservoir | Memory | When the same kind of damage strikes repeatedly in a short period, the chestplate begins adapting its response to that pressure. Synergy: Damage Memory later develops this adaptation further. Controls: Passive — reacts to repeated damage types. |
| 3 | Sculk Mantle | Passive | The chestplate spreads the force of projectile impacts through its sculk lattice, adding extra protection specifically against projectile damage. Synergy: Pressure Armor later broadens environmental protection. Controls: Passive — activates against projectile damage. |
| 4 | Harmonic Shell | Passive | While the wearer remains above half health, the chestplate sustains an additional harmonic layer that slightly improves damage reduction. Synergy: Deep Fortitude later supports the opposite low-health state. Controls: Passive — stronger while above half health. |
| 5 First Stabilization | Echo Barrier | Passive | After the First Stabilization, sufficiently strong incoming damage can trigger an additional burst of protection. The barrier then requires time to re-form. Synergy: Lasting Guard, Barrier Loom and Abyssal Heartguard shorten barrier downtime. Controls: Passive — automatically reacts to larger hits. |
| 6 | Stored Force | Memory | A portion of the force prevented by the chestplate is stored in a temporary internal reservoir instead of disappearing immediately. Synergy: Kinetic Release converts the reservoir into a defensive shockwave. Controls: Passive — stores force whenever the armor prevents damage. |
| 7 | Deep Fortitude | Passive | Below half health, the armor shifts vibration toward survival and adds extra conditional damage reduction. Synergy: Works alongside Harmonic Shell without making either state permanently superior. Controls: Passive — activates below half health. |
| 8 | Damage Memory | Memory | The chestplate tracks repeated incoming damage categories and increases its response when the same pressure continues to strike in quick succession. Synergy: Adaptive Carapace and Barrier Loom improve the adaptation network. Controls: Passive — strengthens repeated-damage adaptation. |
| 9 | Echo Return | Passive | When Echo Barrier catches a strong impact, the chestplate returns part of that event as a sculk pulse, signaling that the defensive network successfully responded. Synergy: Kinetic Release later turns stored defensive force into physical space control. Controls: Passive — follows a successful Echo Barrier. |
| 10 Deep Stabilization | Kinetic Release | Active | After the Deep Stabilization, crouching while sufficient Stored Force is available causes the next incoming hit to release a kinetic sculk wave that pushes nearby hostile creatures away. Synergy: Barrier Loom reduces cooldown and Abyssal Heartguard increases the effective network. Controls: Crouch while taking a hit with at least 4 Stored Force. |
| 11 | Lasting Guard | Passive | The chestplate retains the barrier's harmonic pattern after it triggers, reducing the time needed before the next barrier response can occur. Synergy: Barrier Loom and Deep Vibration reduce it further. Controls: Passive — reduces Echo Barrier cooldown. |
| 12 | Pressure Armor | Passive | The chestplate distinguishes high-pressure environmental damage from ordinary hits and adds targeted protection against explosions and fire. Synergy: Adaptive Carapace improves adaptation to repeated pressure. Controls: Passive — activates against explosion and fire damage. |
| 13 | Adaptive Carapace | Passive | When the wearer receives repeated hits of the same damage kind, the chestplate adds another layer of adaptive reduction on top of its existing Damage Memory and defensive network. Synergy: Barrier Loom connects the adaptive response with barrier timing; Abyssal Heartguard provides the emergency capstone. Controls: Passive — reacts to repeated non-Sonic-Boom damage. |
| 14 | Barrier Loom | Synergy | The chestplate's late defensive systems begin feeding one another: barrier recovery improves, barrier-triggered mitigation strengthens and Stored Force can return to the fight more responsively through Kinetic Release. Synergy: Adaptive Carapace supplies repeated-hit adaptation; Abyssal Heartguard can spend accumulated Stored Force as an emergency barrier. Controls: Passive — refines the existing chestplate defensive network. |
| 15 Harmonic Stabilization | Abyssal Heartguard | Synergy | If a non-Sonic-Boom hit would take the wearer below 25% maximum health while at least 8 Stored Force is available, Abyssal Heartguard consumes the stored reserve, limits that hit to the critical-health threshold, creates a small knockback pulse and grants 2 seconds of additional non-Sonic protection. Internal cooldown: 75 seconds. Sonic Boom absorption remains the Sonic Aegis's role. Synergy: Stored Force fuels the emergency barrier; Barrier Loom and the earlier chestplate defenses help build and preserve that reserve. Controls: Passive — emergency trigger below the 25% health threshold when sufficient Stored Force is available. |
